Tonight was Superhero theme night at the club. Lex was less then thrilled about this but Helen was his friend so he'd work with it. But so help anyone if they dressed as him...

He'd dressed as the Gene Hackman version of himself for movie night and he wasn't about to dress as the comics version, who had made his life hell at times on the island as he paid for his misdeeds. But there was someone else from the comics who would amuse him to dress as but first he needed to get permission from someone.

So here he was, holding the Superman costume in his hand as he knocked on Kon's door. "Kon? Are you here?"

"See, now you're going to give me nightmares for weeks," Kon teased. "The last thing that I need is an image of a half-naked Xander floating around in my head." Not when he already had a half-naked, or rather completely naked, Wallace floating around in there.

He groaned a little to himself. He just had to think about that, didn't he?

The groan made Lex glance over his shoulder. "Oh? Does that groan says otherwise?" He said with a knowing smirk that showed in his voice as he started pulling on the spandex.

He yelped. "No!" he promised quickly. "No, definitely no thoughts of naked Xander. You just reminded me of something else." Something else that he was no way, no how telling Lex about. Really.

Lex chuckled to himself as he zipped up the back and settled the cape on his shoulders. "And what exactly would that something else be? You can turn around too, I just have the boots to go."

He would not laugh, he would not laugh. It was fine, pretty much, until you got to the top. He was used to seeing Lex without hair, sure. It probably would have been weird to see him with hair. What was weird was seeing Superman with no hair.

His lips twitched. "I thought you were going as Superman." They twitched more. "Not me - the amalgam of Superman and Lex Luthor." He couldn't help it. He started laughing.

Lex rolled his eyes but it was clearly a fond gesture as he started laughing while pulling on the finishing touch, bright red boots. "Isn't it bad enough I'm wearing spandex in primary colors in a suit that I can barely fill out? I'm not about to add a ridiculous wig on top of that." And Lex hated wigs...except for special occasions.

Still, he was laughing with Kon but the whole point of this was to be ridiculous, because that's what Lex thought of this theme.

"Nope. Clearly it's not bad enough. Although I do wish I knew someone who could take a picture of this. To store for further blackmail of course." He was teasing about that part, although he did wish he could take a picture of it just to have. It was kind of like how he wished he had a picture of Ma and Pa and the Titans and even Lois and Clark.

"Blackmail. Of course. I think you've been around me too long." Lex teased in return as he did a slow spin now that he had the complete outfit on. "Well, what do you think? Can I wear it?" He still wore his smirk, so he had not doubt Kon's reply would be more teasing.

"Hmm. If you think that's being around me too much, you don't know me at all." He looked over Lex and nodded slowly. "You'll do." He still wanted pictures.

Lex just chuckled. "My son is know for his blackmail. Lovely." But he didn't mean it half as much as it sounded. "And I'm glad I have your approval. My conscious can be clear as I strive for irony tonight while mocking your other father."

"See, the question is whether I take after you, Clark, or…" He paused a beat and grinned. "Lois."

"Ahh Lois. I liked the one that was here on the island for a little while. But I've never met the one from my world yet." A part of Lex was glad Clark had ended up with someone who would challenge him, unlike the cowed, doe-eyed Lana Lang.

"Thanks for coming over. I wouldn't want to have had to head over to the club to view your costume. I'm not sure I'd want to see who all they have over there. I mean, the idea of Batman in his underwear?" Kon shuddered. That was not something that he wanted to think about. At all.

"From what I understand, your not the only superhero who isn't pleased. I can't say I am either but for Helen I will play along." And he'd only do this for Helen and he'd made that very clear to her.

"It's not that I'm not pleased...or that I am pleased. I'm neither, really. I just don't want to see people who look like the people I knew back home half naked. No offense." At least Lex wasn't in some absurd Superman outfit that showed lots of skin?

Lex just laughed. "I'm just a bartender, not a stripper." For reasons he wasn't about to go into. Dancing in drag was one thing, he didn't have to take anything off.

Kon twitched at the mere mention of Lex and stripping in the same sentence. "Good. I don't even want to think about that."

Biting the inside of his cheek to avoid laughing anymore, Lex just shook his head. "Neither do I. Now, I should probably get going."

"Yes," Kon said with a grin. He made a shooing motion with his hands. "Go before I start asking if you can fly or any other awkward questions I really don't want the answers to."

"I'll leave that to your other father. I'm fine with the evil genius gig." Lex replied with a laugh. "Good night Kon."
