For Kon

Tonight was Superhero theme night at the club. Lex was less then thrilled about this but Helen was his friend so he'd work with it. But so help anyone if they dressed as him...

He'd dressed as the Gene Hackman version of himself for movie night and he wasn't about to dress as the comics version, who had made his life hell at times on the island as he paid for his misdeeds. But there was someone else from the comics who would amuse him to dress as but first he needed to get permission from someone.

So here he was, holding the Superman costume in his hand as he knocked on Kon's door. "Kon? Are you here?"

"Nope. Clearly it's not bad enough. Although I do wish I knew someone who could take a picture of this. To store for further blackmail of course." He was teasing about that part, although he did wish he could take a picture of it just to have. It was kind of like how he wished he had a picture of Ma and Pa and the Titans and even Lois and Clark.

"Blackmail. Of course. I think you've been around me too long." Lex teased in return as he did a slow spin now that he had the complete outfit on. "Well, what do you think? Can I wear it?" He still wore his smirk, so he had not doubt Kon's reply would be more teasing.

"Hmm. If you think that's being around me too much, you don't know me at all." He looked over Lex and nodded slowly. "You'll do." He still wanted pictures.

Lex just chuckled. "My son is know for his blackmail. Lovely." But he didn't mean it half as much as it sounded. "And I'm glad I have your approval. My conscious can be clear as I strive for irony tonight while mocking your other father."

"See, the question is whether I take after you, Clark, or…" He paused a beat and grinned. "Lois."

"Ahh Lois. I liked the one that was here on the island for a little while. But I've never met the one from my world yet." A part of Lex was glad Clark had ended up with someone who would challenge him, unlike the cowed, doe-eyed Lana Lang.

"Thanks for coming over. I wouldn't want to have had to head over to the club to view your costume. I'm not sure I'd want to see who all they have over there. I mean, the idea of Batman in his underwear?" Kon shuddered. That was not something that he wanted to think about. At all.

"From what I understand, your not the only superhero who isn't pleased. I can't say I am either but for Helen I will play along." And he'd only do this for Helen and he'd made that very clear to her.

"It's not that I'm not pleased...or that I am pleased. I'm neither, really. I just don't want to see people who look like the people I knew back home half naked. No offense." At least Lex wasn't in some absurd Superman outfit that showed lots of skin?

Lex just laughed. "I'm just a bartender, not a stripper." For reasons he wasn't about to go into. Dancing in drag was one thing, he didn't have to take anything off.

Kon twitched at the mere mention of Lex and stripping in the same sentence. "Good. I don't even want to think about that."

Biting the inside of his cheek to avoid laughing anymore, Lex just shook his head. "Neither do I. Now, I should probably get going."

"Yes," Kon said with a grin. He made a shooing motion with his hands. "Go before I start asking if you can fly or any other awkward questions I really don't want the answers to."

"I'll leave that to your other father. I'm fine with the evil genius gig." Lex replied with a laugh. "Good night Kon."
