Private with Jill
Lex had felt claustrophobic in Smallville. The town was so small and in the middle of no where, but at least he could leave every once in a while. The island was worse, because he could not leave.
If it were a room, Lex's roaming of the island would most likely be considered pacing. At least because it was an island, he could hide the nervous tendencies. A Luthor always had an readable poker face. But even as it made him nervous, Lex couldn't help loving the island for the sole fact that there was no Lionel Luthor on it's shores.
With his hands in his pockets, Lex was currently walking down the path between the beach and the compound, hoping to find Clark. They needed to talk.

"Your dating Xander? I apologize for my shock, but when I met him, he and Clark were holding hands and acting like they were together, so I assumed..." He gave a shrug as he watched her reaction carefully. "I apologize, I'm sure there's an explanation."
Sometimes information was more useful shared then kept to yourself.

Completely.
"Excuse me?" Maybe- There were a billion explanations, no part of which was that she was talking to Lex Luthor, who she'd been advised to not trust, about her boyfriend, who she trusted by definition.

He shrugged again. "You trust Xander right? Why don't you ask him?" He offered simply. "I'm not to proud to admit I might have made a mistake. Clark is often attracted to the unattainable, he did this at home too. Your Xander may not even be at fault." He offered, to put her more at ease.
